Daruma Netsuke

Netsuke were small toggles with which to attach pouches to traditional pocketless kimonos in Japan. The pouches had a small cord with a Netsuke attached to the end, which then looped over the obi. Daruma netsuke are believed to make the wishes of the wearer come true.
